CHAPTER 1. THE ORGANIZER AND THE OFFICIAL RACE REGULATIONSThe “OM Half Marathon” (hereinafter referred to as “Race”) is organized by A.O. “Sporter” Sports Club in association with “SIMPALS” and the most popular classifieds board in Moldova, 999.md.
A.O. “Sporter” Sports Club aims to promote the sport and an active lifestyle among Moldovan citizens, as well as to involve the local community in promoting sports and their advantages.
The Race participants must comply with the rules and terms of the Race Regulations (hereinafter referred to as “Regulations”). By accepting to participate in this Race, participants agree to comply with all the provisions, rules and conditions set forth in the present Regulations.
Goals and tasks of the race:
promote the healthy lifestyle;
improve participants’ sports skills;
identify the strongest participants from the relevant categories;
establish friendly relationships between sports amateurs.
1.1 DEFINITIONSParticipant – a natural person who has registered and been confirmed for participation in one of the official races of the event, has paid the participation fee, and has agreed to the liability waiver and declaration. The participant undertakes to respect this Regulation.
Pacemaker (Pacer) – a runner designated by the organiser to maintain a constant pace throughout the race, helping other participants reach a specific finish time.
Gun Time (Official Time) – the time measured from the official start signal (gun or horn) until the participant crosses the finish line. This time is used for ranking in the
Absolute category (Elite).
Net Time (Chip Time / Personal Time) – the individual time recorded electronically from the moment the runner’s timing chip crosses the start line until it crosses the finish line. This represents the real running time and is used for
Age Group rankings.
DNF (Did Not Finish) – indicates that the participant started the race but did not finish it (did not cross the finish line or was withdrawn for medical, technical, or personal reasons).
DNS (Did Not Start) – indicates that the participant registered but did not start the race.
DSQ (Disqualified) – indicates that the participant has been excluded from the results for violating the rules.
CHAPTER 2. TIME AND VENUE OF THE EVENT2.1. Date: Sunday,
26 April 2026, at 09:00.
2.2. Venue: Piața Marii Adunări Naționale (PMAN), Chișinău.
2.3. Start/Finish Zone: Located in PMAN, according to the organiser’s approved plan.
2.4. The event includes both competitive and non-competitive races, as specified in Chapter 3.
2.5. All routes are measured and certified according to AIMS standards.
CHAPTER 3. RACE CONDUCT
3.1. COMPETITIVE RACESAll competitive races will take place on Sunday, 26 April 2026:
- Half Marathon – Individual race (21.097 km)
- 10.5 km race – Individual race
- Relay (21 km) – Team race
3.2. PARTICIPANTS AND RACE CONDUCTThis is an event for children, young people and adults alike, who will compete at distances set by the organizers based on age and athletic skill level.
The Half-marathon (21 km 0975 m) is open only to persons who have reached the age of 16 on or before the day of the event.
The 10.5 km race is open only to persons who have reached the age of 16 on or before the day of the race.
The Relay is open only to persons who have reached the age of 16 on or before the day of the race. The team can be either all girls or all boys, also the team can be “mixed”.
- Relay teams must consist of 3 participants.
- Each participant will run a section of the course, and the exchange will take place at designated areas along the route.
- To participate in the OM Half Marathon relay, all team members must check in at designated locations before the start. (START Zone = participant 1, Exchange Zone 1 = participant 2, Exchange Zone 2 = participant 3)
- Absence of a participant: If any team member fails to arrive at their zone or abandons the race, the entire team will be disqualified.
- Limitation to one segment: Each participant can only run one segment of the race.
- Segment Selection: The team captain assigns participants to the respective segments.
Participants wishing to take part in the competition must access the "Registration" page on the official event website before the indicated deadline. Registration on the day of the event is NOT available for competitive races.
3.2.1. AGE CATEGORIESParticipants in the Half Marathon and 10.5 km races are automatically placed into their respective Age Groups, based on age on race day, separately for men and women:
- up to 19 years (≤19)
- 20–29 years
- 30–39 years
- 40–49 years
- 50–59 years
- 60–69 years
- 70–79 years
- 80+ years
3.3. KIDS RACESAll kids races will be held on Saturday (April 25, 2026). The race program will be published on the official website.
3.4 COURSE ROUTESCompetitive routes will be marked with fencing and special signage and will be supervised by competition referees and police officers, who will monitor the situation at various points along the route. Descriptions and maps of the routes will be available on the official competition website.

3.4.1 COURSE MODIFICATION AND CANCELLATIONIn case of adverse weather conditions, the organizers reserve the right to change the course, time limits or even to stop / cancel / postpone the Race.
The participants will be informed via email and more detailed information will be available on the Race website.
3.5. REGISTRATION AND TERMS OF PARTICIPATIONRegistration is completed online by filling out the form at
sporter.md.
Upon registration, each participant shall:
declare that they understand and accept the rules and conditions of participation in the “OM Half Marathon” as well as the terms of the competition regulations.
agree that their photos and other public data, such as Race results, Race table, may be used in promotional materials, such as photos, posters, videoclips, interviews, etc.
Please note! The number of slots is limited.
Forms with incomplete fields and unpaid registration will be considered unfinished and will be canceled.
3.6. REGISTRATION CHANGESRegistration changes (registration transfer to another person, personal data edit) for half marathon, 10.5 km and relay races can be made at least 30 days before the date of the event. The option costs 50 MDL.
The following information is required to make the changes:
From the slot owner: OrderID, first and last name, date of birth, phone number, e-mail, t-shirt size.
From the person to whom the slot is transferred: first and last name, date of birth, phone number, e-mail, t-shirt size.
For changes to be made, physical presence is required at the Sporter office, 28/1 Cala Orheiului St., 2nd floor. The charge for this service is 50 MDL.
!!! Race distance cannot be changed !!!
3.6.1. CORPORATE PARTICIPANT MODIFICATION POLICYCompanies that submitted their participant table and received confirmation (as per 3.7.2) are entitled to:
a) Three free replacements – up to 3 participant substitutions may be made free of charge after confirmation.
b) Afterwards, 100 MDL per person – each additional replacement costs 100 MDL per participant.
c) No modifications during event week – no changes are accepted during the week of the event (Monday to Sunday prior to race day).
d) Distance changes not permitted – only participant substitutions are allowed, not distance changes.
e) Procedure – all requests must be sent to
event@sporter.md using the same table provided by the organiser, clearly indicating: “previous participant → new participant”.
f) Validation – modifications are valid only after written confirmation by the organiser and, if applicable, payment of the administrative fee.
Note: This policy applies exclusively to corporate participants. For individuals, the standard rules in 3.6 apply.
3.7. PAYMENT METHODS 3.7.1. PAYMENT OF THE ENTRY FEE FOR NATURAL PERSONS:
Payment can be made online via Visa, Mastercard, via terminal (QIWI, Run Pay MMPS), or in cash at the organizer's office. More detailed information about the methods of payment is available on the official event website www.sporter.md.
3.7.2. PAYMENT OF THE ENTRY FEE FOR LEGAL ENTITIES:The registration process for companies is as follows:
- Step 1: The company representative sends a participation request to event@sporter.md, including company name and contact details.
- Step 2: The organiser provides a table template to fill in the list of participants (name, distance, T-shirt size, etc.).
- Step 3: After receiving the completed table, the organiser calculates the total participation fee and issues an invoice.
- Step 4: Once the invoice is paid in full, all listed participants are confirmed and activated in the system.
- Step 5: Participant modifications are allowed only under the conditions of Article 3.6.1 (Corporate Modification Policy) — up to 3 free substitutions, then 100 MDL per person, no distance changes, and no modifications during event week.
- Step 6: After the event, the organiser issues and sends the fiscal invoice (final accounting document) to the company.
3.8 TERMS OF PARTICIPATIONTo pick up the starter package, the participant must meet the following conditions:
be at least 16 years old (participants who have not yet reached the legal age must submit a written consent from their parents and/or their coach).
provide confirmation of payment of the entry fee.
present the ID card in the original (not a copy).
The organizer reserves the right to refuse to register a participant for objective reasons.
3.9 DECLARATION OF LIABILITYUpon registration for the half-marathon, 10.5km and relay races, the participant signs the declaration of liability, thereby confirming their participation and level of physical fitness.
In the case of minors, the declaration of liability shall be signed by a parent or other legal representative.
3.10. STARTER PACKAGEThe starter package contains an official T-shirt, an official backpack, a BIB number with a built-in timing chip.
The kit may also include promo materials / objects from partners.
After the crossing of the finish line, the participants, who have fallen within the time limit, will be awarded the event finisher medal.
The organizers make every effort to provide each participant with the event t-shirt in the size indicated in the participant's registration. However, the organizers do not guarantee that the size of the t-shirt in the race kit will match the one specified in the participant's application.
3.11. RACE GEAR. BIB NUMBERThe BIB number is offered by the Organizer. BIB numbers (with built-in timing chips) for the half marathon, 10.5 km and relay races are included in the starter package and handed out in accordance with the schedule published before the race.
On the race day (between 06:00 - 08:00), the starter packages will be issued only to already registered and confirmed participants who are non-residents of Chisinau.
The participant is responsible for the electronic timing chip (which is attached to the BIB number) not to be stripped off, damaged or covered by clothing.
Any participant who does not wear the BIB number on the T-shirt or wears another number instead of the one given by the organizer, will be automatically disqualified.
It is unacceptable to change, replace (in case of loss) or exchange the BIB number with other participants on the race day. These deviations lead to disqualification.
The timing system calculates each participant’s time by registering each passing through the electronic mat: at the start line, course checkpoints and finish line.
PLEASE NOTE! Runners failing to pass through all checkpoints will be automatically disqualified. It is the participant's responsibility to wear the race number on the front of the T-shirt and not to damage the timing chip.
3.12. START - TIME LIMITS - REOPENING ROADS TO TRAFFICPlease refer to the official schedule of the event on halfmarathon.md website to find the start time of each race.
Half marathon time is 3 hours.
The 10.5 km race time is 1 hour and 30 minutes
The Relay time is 3 hours.
Participants who cross the finish line later than the time limit will not be included in the rankings of the race they competed in and will not receive the race medal.
Participants who exceed the time limit will be warned by the technical officials and will have to go to the start/finish zone.
PLEASE NOTE! It is forbidden to continue the race after exceeding the time limit. After the time limits, the roads will be reopened to traffic and the organizers will no longer guarantee the safety of the participants.
3.13. DETERMINATION OF RANKINGSOfficial rankings are determined using electronic timing and published within 24 hours.
- Absolute category awards are based on Gun Time (official start to finish).
- Age Group awards are based on Net Time / Chip Time / Personal Time (individual timing).
CHAPTER 4. NOTIFICATION AND AWARDING4.0. CATEGORIESAwards are presented for:
- Absolute (Men/Women) – based on Gun Time
- Age Group – based on Net Time
- Relay – Top 3 teams based on total team time
4.1. TITLES AND PRIZESHalf marathon (21.097 km)Three awarded places: men and women, places I-III.
Money prizes:
- 1st place - 6,000 MDL
- 2nd place - 4,000 MDL
- 3rd place - 2,000 MDL
Absolute 10 KMThree awarded places: men and women, places I-III.
Money prizes:
- 1st place - 4,000 MDL
- 2nd place - 2,000 MDL
- 3rd place - 1,000 MDL
Course Record BonusSetting a new course record (Half Marathon or 10 km) grants a special bonus, validated only if the full course is completed under official timing.
*Taxes will be withheld according to Moldovan legislation.Digital participation diplomas will be available on the website within 2 days after the event.
The awards ceremony will take place in the Start/Finish area according to the official schedule.
4.2. Awarding ConditionsPrizes are granted only to participants who meet all of the following criteria:
- Have completed the full course within the official time limits;
- Are listed and validated in the official ranking (Gun Time / Net Time);
- Have complied with all provisions of the present Regulation and have not been disqualified;
- Are present at the official award ceremony at the indicated time.
Participants who fail to attend the award ceremony lose the right to receive their prize.
Prizes will not be transferred to other persons and will not be sent afterwards.
4.3. Result Validation and AppealsOfficial results shall be validated by the Technical Commission of the event.
Participants may submit an appeal or complaint regarding race results or prizes within one (1) hour after the publication of provisional results, following the procedure set out in Chapter 9 – Complaints and Arbitration.
After this deadline, results become final and irrevocable and can no longer be modified.
CHAPTER 5. DISQUALIFICATION AND WITHDRAWAL FROM THE COMPETITIONIf a participant decides to withdraw from the competition and/or does not attend the event, the participation fee will NOT be refunded. In this case, we recommend finding a replacement, with the possibility of transferring the starter package no later than 30 days before the event.
5.1. DISQUALIFICATIONParticipants will be disqualified in the following situations:
non-compliance with organizer’s instructions regarding the mandatory equipment and non-wearing of the BIB number on the front side of the T-shirt.
unsportsmanlike conduct.
non-compliance with organizer’s or volunteers’ instructions.
track shortening.
usage of any transportation during the race.
organizer or ambulance service considers that the participant can not continue due to an injury.
exchange or loss of the BIB number.
exceeding the time limits.
being helped by a pacemaker participating in a different distance (disqualification of both participants).
entering the track of the competition after the finish to pace another participant (disqualification of both participants)
During the Chisinau Half Marathon by OM, participants in the Elite category are given the option to place their energy gels on the course themselves. However, it is important to note that the participant bears full responsibility for placing and ensuring that these gels are used exclusively by themselves.
The organizers do not assume responsibility for the energy gels provided by participants and cannot guarantee their availability or prevent their use by other competitors.
Please ensure that you monitor your own resources and take measures to ensure they are used solely by you, avoiding the possibility of other participants using them. This will help maintain fair and equal conditions for all OM Half Marathon participants.
5.1.1 DISQUALIFICATION FOR DOPINGThe use of prohibited substances and methods with a doping effect, as well as any other violation of anti-doping regulations — including, but not limited to, refusal or evasion of anti-doping testing, manipulation of the testing process, possession, trafficking, or administration of banned substances — constitutes a breach of Law No. 24/2023 on the prevention and combating of doping in sport, the World Anti-Doping Code (WADA), and applicable International Anti-Doping Standards. As a result, the participant will be sanctioned by losing the right to receive titles, prizes, or recognition in the "Overall" and "Age Group" categories, as well as in other official rankings, in accordance with national legislation and the regulations of the competent sports federation.
5.2. COMPLAINTSAny participant may file a complaint against another participant, who has violated the race rules, or against the technical officials’ decisions.
5.3. POST-EVENT SUSPENSIONSThe organiser reserves the right to apply disqualifications or suspensions even after the event, if technical irregularities, fraud, or rule violations are identified following the review of race data or official results.
Such measures may include:
- annulment of the participant’s result;
- withdrawal of medals or prizes;
- removal from official rankings and future participation bans, depending on the severity of the violation.
CHAPTER 6. ADMINISTRATIVE TERMS6.1 ADMINISTRATIVE TERMS (DURING RACES)The ”Sporter” Sports Club is responsible for organizing the event and, if necessary, other co-organizers.
Participants, who withdraw during the Race, are required to go to the Start/ Finish zone to notify the local track referee about it.
At the Start/ Finish zone, the medical staff will be available to help in case of accidents.
6.2. EXCEPTIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE TERMSIn case of exceptional situations, which hinder the safe conduct of the event (e.g. extreme weather conditions), the event will be postponed or canceled.
If the event is postponed, the participation fees shall not be refunded.
If the event is canceled, the participants will receive the full starter package, and the participation fee will be refunded in accordance with these Regulations.
6.3. ADMINISTRATIVE TERMS (GENERAL)
In accordance with the present Regulations, the Organizers will publicly announce the winners of the Race and the awarded prizes. The winners list will be published on the official website within a maximum of 7 days.
The Organizer is committed to keep confidentiality of personal data of the participants / winners of the Race and to use it in accordance with this Regulation, the Declaration of liability and the legislation in force.
Participants are forbidden to litter in the racing area, otherwise, they will be disqualified. The garbage can be dropped in trash bins or in garbage bags provided by the Organizer in the start / finish zones. At the end of the Race, the Organizer will ensure that the waste is removed and carried away in special areas.
It is prohibited to take part in races/ competitions for persons who have alcoholic drinks/ drugs or who are under the influence of these substances; persons carrying any kind of weapons, explosives and / or incendiary materials, substances with an irritating or tearing or paralyzing effect, taser or other objects, which can be used for violent actions or disrupting the normal course of the event.
Persons who violate these provisions will be expelled by the Organizer from the event area, with the support of law enforcement agencies, if necessary.
In order to ensure a comfortable environment for all participants, please note that repeated entry into the Relaxation Zone is not allowed. Once a participant has exited this area, there is no possibility to re-enter. This is a measure to ensure that all participants have access to the resources and space needed to relax in peace.
6.4. REFRESHMENT POINTSIn accordance with the international regulations, refreshment points (still water, fruits) will be located on the route and in the Start/Finish area. At the finish, all participants will be provided with still water, fruits and, if necessary, energy drinks. Participants are kindly asked to dispose of bottles and plastic cups in the areas near the refreshment points to facilitate the clean-up process.
6.5. FIRST AID – AMBULANCEFirst aid will be provided by an ambulance set by the Organizer in the start / finish zones or in other areas, where necessary. If a cyclist is injured, the track referees will call the ambulance, which will immediately arrive for assistance. The participants who withdraw from the race are required to notify the Organizer about their decision.
6.6. OTHER CONDITIONSParticipants' possible supporters (family members, friends) may stay in the vicinity of the course, but outside the course, taking care not to hinder the normal running of the event. During the Race, road traffic will be reduced on all tracks, as much as possible. The Organizer will ensure the following:
healthcare;
police crews, as provided for in these Regulations.
6.7. VOLUNTEERS AND TEHNICAL TEAMSThe organiser shall ensure prior training and briefing for all volunteers and technical personnel involved in the event.
Volunteers must wear visible identification (T-shirt, vest, or badge) and act in accordance with the instructions of their respective zone coordinators.
Participants are required to follow all directions given by volunteers, referees, and technical staff throughout the event.
It is strictly forbidden for unauthorised persons to enter technical areas such as the Start/Finish zones, hydration stations, or timing points.
CHAPTER 7. OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES7.1. OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTICIPANTSParticipants undertake to wear their number on the chest and in plain view throughout the race.
Participants who withdraw from the race must immediately inform the Organizer either at start/ finish zones, at timing segments or via phone (using the emergency number, which will be given beforehand or published on the official website). If the participant does not announce their decision, rescue crews may be involved in tracking and, eventually, the participant will have to pay the expenses for this service.
Participants who may have suffered an accident or any kind of physical or material damage, waive, by entering the contest, any right to claim compensation or to take legal action against any person involved in the organization of the race, especially: Organizer, volunteers (either legal or natural persons), sponsors, public institutions that support the race (mayor’s office, local council, police etc.).
The participant bears full civil, administrative, and criminal responsibility for any damage caused to third parties during the race.
In the event of an accident, participants are required to report it at the next checkpoint.
Participants acknowledge that the organizers make every effort to stop traffic for the entire duration of the race. However, they agree to cross open traffic areas with caution and to follow the instructions of police officers and volunteers in all situations.
Participants are required to comply with environmental protection rules.
Participants understand that the Organizer makes efforts to provide the appropriate T-shirt size for each participant. If the appropriate size is no longer available, the participant agrees to accept a different size.
Participants assume responsibility for any lost or forgotten items along the course during the competition.
7.2. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ORGANIZERThe Organizer undertakes to:properly mark the route so that participants do not deviate from it.
highlight the dangerous segments of the route.
provide 3 refreshment points along the route.
ensure that participants are rewarded according to the information provided in the Awards chapter.
ensure the placement of timing points along the route.
respect environmental protection rules by placing waste collection points along the entire route.
hold a technical briefing prior to the competition, to announce any changes, with higher priority than the information presented earlier.
7.3. LIMITATION OF ORGANISER'S LIABILITYParticipation in the Competition is entirely at the participant’s own risk.
The organiser, partners, sponsors, volunteers, and public authorities involved in the event cannot be held liable for any accidents, bodily injury, death, property damage, or losses occurring during or as a result of participation in the Competition.
The organiser is not responsible for the deterioration, loss, or theft of participants’ personal belongings.
By completing the registration form, each participant declares that they are medically fit for physical effort and that they have read, understood, and fully accepted this Regulation and the Declaration of Personal Responsibility.
7.4. INSURANCE AND HEALTHThe organiser recommends that all participants undergo a medical check-up before the event.
Each participant is personally responsible for their own health and should only participate if they consider themselves physically capable of sustained physical effort.
The organiser ensures the presence of medical teams and ambulances along the course.
However, the organiser does not provide personal medical or life insurance for participants.
CHAPTER 8. PRIVACY POLICYOur privacy commitmentWe strive to protect our website, services and users from unauthorized access or modification and from unauthorized disclosure or destruction of information we possess.
We will never disclose/sell confidential information to unauthorized third parties, and, by all available means, we will ensure that this information is secured.
What kind of personal data does the Organizer collect?By the registration form, the Organizer collects the following personal data: name, surname, date of birth, gender, e-mail, phone number, identity ID number, IDNP and residence address.
Where is this information stored?The data from the registration form is stored in the Organizer’s database.
What is the data used for?The personal data from the registration form is used for the following purposes:
to offer the sportsman a possibility to participate in the race;
to automatically fill in the Declaration of liability that the participant has to sign;
to provide useful information regarding the current and future races by email;
to automatically classify the participant to their age group.
Who has access to this data?Only the Organizer - A.O. “SPORTER” Sports Club - has access to this data.

8.2. DATA RETENTION PERIODPersonal data are stored for up to 10 years from the event date for record-keeping, complaint management, and communication regarding future editions.
After this period, data are permanently deleted or anonymised.
